DECT Baby Monitor by Philips

Philips Portable Monitor

I think, short of a closed-circuit broadcast of Anderson's nursery, the DECT Baby Monitor by Philips is about an ideal a monitor as you can get. It's digital, so there's no interference, and it uses encrypted communications so your nosy neighbors can't listen in on your private conversations.

  • Indicates a continuous connection between the baby and the parent unit with visible and audible link indicators.
  • Provides the ability to allow you to talk back to the baby.
  • Uses lights to indicate if the baby makes noise, even with volume off.
  • Safely monitor baby room temperature from parent unit.
  • Gives you a minimum of 24 hours of cordless monitoring with a range of up to 300m (900 feet).

It's a bit pricey at nearly $200, but when you consider all its cool features, it doesn't sound so bad.
