Ask Moxie

Right after I gave birth to Andy, I had a very hard time adjusting to being a new mom. I was so tired and stressed and terrified I was going to mess him up somehow. I didn't read much ahead of time, so I didn't know what to expect and how to fix all the problems I had. My mother would do research for me online, and she kept sending me links to the same blog, Ask Moxie. I soon added it to my blog reader, and I've been hooked ever since. Moxie has a knack for always writing about problems I'm having before I even realize they are problems. When Andy started getting teeth, she wrote about teeth and breastfeeding. Her posts about sleep have helped me a ton. What I like best is that she tells it how it is. There's no flowery stuff about how great it is to be a mom (which I agree it is, but at times it definitely isn't as well) or fluff answers. She is real and wants to help. She is also extremely friendly. I linked to her once on my personal blog, and she wrote me a huge email about my problem (I don't even remember what it was anymore, we fixed it right away with her help!) with a ton of suggestions. If you are not reading Ask Moxie, I highly suggest you do. And send her blog to all the future moms you know, I'm sure they'll love all the information.
