Review: Baby Cakes Mane-Event
The folks from ZenMomma sent us a sample of some of their most popular products the other day. We received Baby Cakes Mane Event and Baby Cakes Ultra Lotion.
The Mane Event is an all natural and plant-derived hair gel. It includes basil, tea tree, tea tree, peppermint, and lavender oils which act as a natural insecticide to distract pesky critters from your child hairs. Rosemary oil is used as a lice deterrent. The gel definitely smells mostly like peppermint, but there are some subtle undertones as well. The gel holds very well, even hours later. We find this very useful as we still haven't given Andy his first haircut and his hair is usually all over the place. This gel is great at keeping his crazy hair tamed.
The lotion is great for moisturizing and nourishing your baby's skin. Andy has a few dry spots and after a few days of applying this lotion they cleared right up. The lotion contains calendula which gives moisture to your baby's tender skin, and it is ideal for those babies with eczema. I can't say for certain that this is better than any other lotion, but it is made from all natural ingredients. The ZenMomma website even explains what each ingredient is for and where it comes from.
