Review: Go Potty Go DVD
We received a copy of Go Potty Go the other day. It's an animated short animated feature starring Paige and Parker, twin pandas. The story is told in rhymes and with original songs.
The DVD explains that everybody goes potty. Animals, big kids, babies, me and you. It reinforces the idea that big kids go potty, and shows all the fun things you can do because you're a big kid now.
After introducing the potty chair, the DVD shows the different things that big kids can do while sitting on it -- since it's okay if the process takes a while. It doesn't get too much into the "icky" parts of potty time. But explains the major events -- it demonstrates how to wipe your bottom and how everyone must wash their hands with soap and water when they're done.
I have no idea if this DVD will help your child become potty trained. Anderson is too young to start trying. But I have a feeling that this DVD might be helpful to put the idea in his head that he will be ready for it someday.
It's a pretty short DVD. The main runtime is only about 16 minutes, and the main menu includes easy access to the four "music videos" from the DVD. You know, just in case you find yourself singing "Go Potty Go" and can't get enough.
If your having trouble introducing potty training, or have no idea how to start the process, this DVD might be a great way to start a dialog with your child. It's available from Amazon.com.
