Review: Summer Sure & Secure Extra Tall Walk-Thru Gate
We've got two gates in our house. One at the top of the stairs, and one at the bottom of the stairs. We've had this gate for a while now, and its effective at keeping Anderson contained, and due to its extra height, its also really useful for keeping our cats out of various parts of the house.
Installation of this gate is much more straight forward as its a pressure-mounted model. You place it in position and start screwing the pads. You keep screwing until there is enough tension to keep the gate in place.
To open the gate, you simply lift it up and swing it open. Laura and I have been able to do this with either hand, and carrying Andy. The door automatically sings closed.
It comes with extra extender bars. These bars attach to the sides of the gate so you can block of openings up to 47.5 inches wide. The one problem with these however is that some widths will be too wide for the smaller extender, but too small for the larger extender. This actually happened to us when we first put the gate up. We had to resolve the issue by putting the gate in a different location.
The Summer Sure & Secure Extra Tall Walk-Thru Gate is available at Amazon.com.
