Review: Step Start Walk 'N Ride
When Andy was learning how to walk, he loved the Step Start Walk 'N Ride (also available at Amazon). He had a few other walkers, but this one seemed to be his favorite because it was light enough to pick up and turn when he wanted to go a different direction. He pushed it all over our house for weeks. It was stable and Andy could easily pull himself up with it. When he was still learning how to stand though, this wasn't the best toy as the wheels do not lock and it would roll.
Recently, we moved the toy to it's other position, a ride on toy. Andy's still learning how to get on it, but he is very interested in this aspect and tries very hard to get on. It's a little high on both sides, so the child needs to be able to bend the knee to get on it instead of swinging the leg around.
The extras on this weren't really used much by Andy. They weren't super interesting to him except for the hidden door. I often times would find his small books and toys in there where he had placed them.
Overall, this is a good toy if you are in the market for a more inexpensive walker. I like how it is two toys in one, and it has served us well and gotten a lot of use.
Also at Baby Wise.
