Kick and Grow Tummy Zone Developmental Mat

kickgrowtummyzone.jpg

Tummy time was one of the hardest things for Andy. He hated it with a passion, and I couldn't stand doing it. Every time I did, I'd take a happy baby and make him miserable. I think the Kick and Grow Tummy Zone may have helped our problem because it is at an angle so it doesn't take as much strength to look around. It has a large monkey toy that reverses to a mirror at the top of the slope too. It's also machine washable!

Children's Clothing at Bonbi Forest

bonbipanda.jpg

Bonbi Forest sells handmade and independently designed goods from artists, crafters and designers from across the globe. They are one of my favorite t-shirt companies for adults, but they sell some children's clothes as well. I love their Panda tee, and the Lion Onesie is pretty cute too.

OnTray

ontray2.jpg

One of the easiest ways to keep Andy happy when I take him shopping is to feed him. I find it hard to hold his food container while also pushing a shopping cart, so I am so happy to find the OnTray. This tray attaches to the handle of the shopping cart, and you can put the food directly in it. It's easy for your child to reach, and it gives you two hands to push the cart! If you aren't feeding your child when shopping, use it for a place to keep toys. It comes with a cover, it is microwave and dishwasher safe, and it comes in four colors too.

Gummi Crib Rail for your teething baby

gummicribrail.jpg

We were lucky that Andy never chewed on his crib, but we know other parents who weren't so lucky. If this is a problem with your child, we've found the Gummi Crib Rail. This is basically a giant and soft teether that goes over the railing. It is non-toxic, installs with self-adhesive strips, and is trim-to-fit.

Paint Can! Children's Rooms - A Book for Painting Your Nursery

paintcan!.jpg

I've recently discovered the book Paint Can! Children's Rooms by Sunny Goode, and I think looks like the perfect book for anyone who wants likes to decorate and plans on doing it for their children throughout their childhood. This book is all about decorative painting for childrens' rooms, from when they are babies through the pre-teen years. There's an introduction that discusses painting basics and "You Can Do It!" sections with pictures to help you along your way. I haven't seen this book personally yet, but I'd love to hear what our readers think if anyone owns it or has looked through it.

Lamaze Spin & Explore Garden Gym

lamazespinexploregardengym.jpg

So many babies hate tummy time that I think it's important to give them something fun to look at. The Lamaze Spin & Explore Garden Gym definitely does that! It has lots of crinkly, squeaky, and tactile parts to play with, and the center spins so your baby can see everything on the mat! The spinner is also removable for when your baby is old enough to sit up on his own.

Baby's Best Friend Teddy

babysbestfriendteddy.jpg

I've mentioned a few times that I wanted to decorate Andy's nursery with teddy bears but ultimately failed (which is one of the reasons I started Super Cool Baby, so I would be better at knowing what is out there!). Baby's Best Friend Teddy, available in both pink and blue, would have been perfect for me! It is a wicker basket that is stuff with tons of products featuring teddy bears, including a teddy bear memory book, a teddy bear brag book, a cardigan, onesie, appliqued pant, teddy bear hat and bib, scratch mitts, and an actual teddy bear. I think this would be a great gift for anyone expecting a baby!

I Am the Boss Dinosaur

iamtheboss.jpg

I think the I Am the Boss Dinosaur is so much fun because it's both a baby seat and a ball pit. This dino has crinkly spikes, textured scales, and a rattle tail, and then inside is 60 colorful balls. Your baby will have a blast playing with this dinosaur and all the balls. You can zip the dino up when your baby isn't sitting in it, and there's even peek-a-boo holes for extracting balls from his belly. The best part is that it's machine washable!

Cariboo Classic Bassinet in Mahogany

Anderson **hated** his bassinet when he was a newborn. It's too bad, as that would've been a bit more convenient for us than the pack & play he ended up in. That being said, I wish we had a one of these Cariboo Classic Bassinets in Mahogany. This stylish bassinet (also available in other colors) will complement your bedroom furniture and give your baby a comfortable place to sleep during the first few weeks and months of his life. The fabric zips off and is machine washable for easy care and cleaning. Luckily you'll get more than a few months use out of it: the bassinet can be converted to a toy chest!

Building Block Books

buildingbooks.jpg

Andy had a second hand set of books that could also be stacked as building blocks that he loved, and I'm happy to finally find something like that on the web. These Building Books can be read and stacked, so they are two toys in one. Each one has 12 pages which are thick enough to turn easily. There are four in all: Animal ABC, Natural ABC, Kids ABC, and Things That Go.
