Teethers are an item most parents would call essential. And yet, it always seemed to me that there was never one around when you needed one. Your baby will always want Sophie the Giraffe Teether within arm's reach. There are so many surfaces for your baby to teeth on: legs, ears, and neck. The contrast of colors will keep your baby's attention as well. What's more, the soothing texture will help your baby hang on tight so there is risk of dropping the teether on the floor.

Graco is one of the most trusted names in baby safety. Once your baby outgrows his rear-facing seat this 3-in-1 car seat will give you peace of mind for years. These swaddlers are a great way to keep your new little baby toasty and warm. I used to hate wrestling with the receiving blankets to fold them the way the nurses showed me. I always had something flapping out the bottom. These swaddlers are one size fits all so you don't have worry about your baby outgrowing it. There are no buttons or velcro that can irritate your baby and it makes sleeping on his back easier which reduces the risk of SIDS. That's one less thing to keep you awake at night.

My littlest one is already trying to follow in his brothers' footsteps. This includes forgoing the sippy cup for juice boxes and juice bags. It's great that he is trying new things, but I end up finding puddles of sticky juice around the house. That's why these Juice Pals work out so great. The baby gets his juice and mommy's floors stay clean. I'd say it is a win-win.

You might think that sunscreen is the most important weapon against the sun this summer. You would probably be right. But don't forget how hot it gets inside your car. While you and your baby are out on the town, everything inside your car, including your car seat is just sitting there...baking in the sun. That hot cloth can be very uncomfortable for baby and those hot buckles can be down right dangerous when you are putting your little one back in the car. Don't waste time waiting for them to cool down; protect them with this Car Seat Sun Shade. This cover keeps the car seat an average of 26 degrees cooler than the temperature of your car. When it comes to sun safety, you can truly say you've got it covered!

Don't you hate fishing around looking for matching socks for your baby? It seems like they go in the dryer and one just never comes out. Check out these baby socks that are mismatched on purpose. All packs have at least three socks in them and are designed with the company's philosophy in mind, "nothing matches, but anything goes." That's a motto created by someone with a few kids. These are so adorable and whimsical it will actually be fun dressing your little one up in mismatched socks. Don't worry, the designs complement each other perfectly so your baby will look as cute as ever. You'll just spend less time making them that way.

When it comes to baby gear, a gate is not exactly what you might look forward to buying. It's not a cute, cuddly blanket or an adorable little toy. It's just a functional, ugly thing in your house that you need to tolerate for a few years for your child's safety. The best you can hope for is easy, single-handled release to minimize juggling the baby when you are trying to make it up the stairs. Fortunately, gates like this Evenflo Top of Stair Gate
have become more modernized to accommodate busy moms and dads and are easier to open and close. Manufacturers have finally realized that most people don't live in houses where all the walls are symmetrical and three feet apart.

I like to experiment with unique, funny clothes for my kids. I let my four year old run around with a mohawk. But for some reason when it comes to baby furniture, I choose to stick with the traditional looks, like this convertible sleigh crib. I guess there is just something cozy and safe about an old standard. A mom likes to know that her little baby is tucked away safe and sound in their room. As the baby grows, you can convert the crib into a toddler bed which provides so much familiarity for your baby and extends the life of the bed for you, so you can spend your money on other things...like a room full of toys.

My husband once shouted that we needed a bigger house because he kept tripping over toys. I replied that no house will ever be big enough to avoid tripping over toys. That was when we only had one child. Three kids later we are outnumbered and buried in toys. I guess that's why I am always looking for unique storage ideas. This Musical Toy Box keeps all the toys in one place and has amazing features that will keep your little one entertained as well. Your aspiring musician will love the 8 note xylophone and the spinning drums. You'll love the family room again when you see all the toys where they belong.

A cuddly baby blanket is a must-have any time of year, but sometimes it's easy to get bored of the typical butterfly and teddy bear look. That's why I love it when I can find a unique design that matches my baby's personality. This dragonfly blanket is made of soft organic fabric so I know it will be safe for my baby and the environment. It's so light I can throw it in the stroller or the crib so I know my baby will always feel comfy, but not toasty as the weather gets hotter.

After the second baby comes, you might be extra motivated to shed those extra pounds. Assuming you can get your kids to sit still, a double jogging stroller is a great idea. You'll need something that is easily maneuvered and lightweight. Of course, safety is always first and this InStep Double Jogging Stroller has a five point harness and a canopy for sun protection. There's no more excuses now, pack up the kids and get going. After the jog, put the kids down for a nap and reward yourself with a peaceful, hot shower. That's my favorite part of the work out!

The wide brim will guard against the sun's harmful rays and give you peace of mind. Don't hide inside this summer!! Get out and have some fun, just do it safely.

I'll admit it. When I'm driving in the car and my baby is screaming, I've been guilty of the precarious reach-back offering any toy and treat that would end the agony for both of us. Car toys are an absolute must for any age group. The Sunny Stroll has all the fun features your baby already loves in other toys. Bright colors, fun shapes and sounds keep your baby happy. You can adjust the arch as your baby grows to ensure months and months of play. Happy baby equals happy driver.

I am always amazed at how much stuff you need for just one little person. It's so much easier to keep it all organized when you use the right tools, like this JJ Cole diaper caddy. You can keep the diapers, wipes and cream all in one place. Don't forget the toys, either. That helps when they get to the rolling stage! It's shown above in blue, but is also available in pink. It's also a perfect complement to the rest of the JJ Cole nursery items.
