ANYTHING in a car seat that goes under the baby is considered dangerous. The car seats are NOT safety-tested with anything under the baby so their ratings would go out the window. They even say not to put your baby in a car seat with a heavy coat on because it changes the dynamics of the restraints and could very well cause whiplash or worse in a collision.
