New Car Seat Guidelines

Have you heard about the new car seat guidelines? It's recommended that children remain rear facing up to age 3 or until they outgrow the rear facing seat. That's a big change from the old guidelines. If you are confused or need additional information, check out the National Highway Traffic Safety Association website. There is an easy to read 4 step pdf that outlines what exactly is recommended for each stage of your child's development from birth up to 12 years old.
If you are in the market for a new infant car seat, you can choose from a large selection, but I think this Britax Cowmooflage seat is a great choice. First of all, it's so cute!! It can be used for a boy or girl which is perfect if you have more children.
This car seat is more than just stylish. There are tons of safety features. The impact protection distributes crash forces, shields from vehicle intrusion, and keeps the head, neck and spine or aligned to limit injury in the event of an accident. The anti-rebound bar stabilizes the child seat by minimizing the rotational forces associated with front and rear collisions. You will feel comfortable putting your infant in this seat and he will be comfortable riding in it.
