Da Vinci Anastasia Convertible Sleigh Crib - Cherry

crib.gif

I like to experiment with unique, funny clothes for my kids. I let my four year old run around with a mohawk. But for some reason when it comes to baby furniture, I choose to stick with the traditional looks, like this convertible sleigh crib. I guess there is just something cozy and safe about an old standard. A mom likes to know that her little baby is tucked away safe and sound in their room. As the baby grows, you can convert the crib into a toddler bed which provides so much familiarity for your baby and extends the life of the bed for you, so you can spend your money on other things...like a room full of toys.

Silent Light Phone Sensor

silentlightphonesensor.jpg

The Silent Light Phone Sensor is one of those products that would have saved my sanity the first year of Andy's life. Living in a small apartment, it was impossible to keep the phone far enough away from his room so it wouldn't wake him up. This would have allowed me to know the phone was ringing while keeping Andy asleep. You can turn the ringer on and off so that it still rings if needed.

My Tot Clock

My Tot Clock

We recently realized that when Anderson wakes up in the morning he sits quietly in his bed until we come and get him. Perfect for us, sure, but probably a little boring for him. That's where the My Tot Clock would come in handy. My Tot Clock is an all-in-one sleep aid, alarm clock, nightlight, and timer for children ages 2+. It teaches little ones when to sleep (blue light) and when it's okay to get out of bed (yellow light). It also plays bedtime stories, lullabies, fun wake music, and even white noise (like ocean sounds)! As an added bonus, My Tot Clock has a light blue light for nap time, a red light for timeout, and a green light for any positive timed activity. Perfect for those young enough to start learning a daily routine, but not old enough to be able to tell time.

Traveller by Phil & Teds

The "Traveller" is an incredibly lightweight full size cot/crib. Its ideal for travelling, obviously, but also great at home too. It seems like a great idea for a camping trip. The Traveller features a self-inflating mattress, and the whole thing is simply and quickly assembled.

Good Nite Lite

goodnitelite.jpg

Children who wake up too early can be a really frustrating issue for many parents. Ideally we want to teach our children how to sleep well on their own, but they don't always understand when they should get up, especially when they are quite young. An easy way to help them learn and understand when they should wake up (or on the other end of the spectrum, to help them wake when you need them to), there is the Good Nite Lite. Basically, it is a traditional night light, but it has a built in timer that changes what you see to reinforce regular sleep patterns. During the night, it looks like a moon, and when it is time to wake up in the morning, it brightens into a sun. If your child wakes up too early for the rest of the family or needs to learn to wake up early whether for school or to go to day care, this is a good product for you!

Bed Bolster To Go

bedbolster.jpg

After dragging our feet for many months, we are finally moving Andy to a toddler bed. We've decided to wait a few weeks until after an upcoming vacation. If you don't have the luxury of waiting to travel when your child is new to sleeping in a bed, I'm sure a worry for everyone involved in falling out of the bed. We've discovered the Bed Bolster To Go. It is a portable bed rail that inflates to it is easy to pack, and it straps onto a twin or full mattress. It is also available in three colors. We're sure everyone would sleep easier with this in bed with your child.

Teddy Toes Blanket

teddytoesblanket.jpg

The Teddy Toes Blanket is a swaddler blanket that separates the legs, can be used with car seats, strollers, and front carriers, and is made with a warm fleece. I like the versatility of it. You don't need a separate blanket for everything you do. Instead you can use this one for your baby no matter where you go or what you are doing. It is also available in 11 different colors!

Rock-A-Bye Crib Base

rockabyecribbase.jpg

When Andy was first born, he loved being rocked. However, he hated his bassinet, so this caused a lot of issues for us. The Rock-A-Bye Crib Base would have been perfect for us. It is four rocking feet that attach right to the crib which allow it to gently sway when you push it. It stops when you stop pushing, and it is slip resistant, so it is nice and safe. It also installs without tools. The best part is that it is only $29.95, so it won't break the bank.
