Whoopsie Daisy Chandelier

When we bought our house, it included two chandeliers. Until then, I never realized how much a good chandelier can really put that finishing touch on a room. This Whoopsie Daisy Chandelier available at the Land of Nod could really complete your nursery theme. Or better yet, it might help you come up with a great nursery theme to begin with! If you like this, there are matching Daisy Curtain Rod and Holdbacks as well.

Turn your baby photos into art at Paper Locket

Turn your best baby photos into an object of art that you'll treasure for many years to come. The folks over at Paper Locket will take a photo (or a collection of photos) and design a customized canvas for you. You can select one of a few dozen different designs, and specify a few different alterations to suit your tastes and photos. If you don't see anything you like, you can do a completely custom design as well. Then you just pick your size, up to an incredible 48x100" (that's 4 feet by 8 feet!). This definitely makes for some striking art on your walls, and would be an unexpectedly unique gift.

Personalized Construction Growth Chart at The Land Of Nod

When I was growing up, we moved so many times that we never had a growth chart that lasted very long. If that sounds familiar, you should check out this Personalized Construction Growth Chart over at the Land of Nod. This canvas growth chart features a Jill McDonald design, and is personalizable with a child's name (up to 12 letters). You attach it to a wall using the supplied tacks that go through re-inforced grommets. The chart has markings up to 60 inches, so you'll be able to get many years of use out of it. If the 'Construction' design doesn't appeal to you, don't fret, there are plenty more to choose from.

Peek-a-Boo Closet Dividers

Andy's closet is a bit of a mess I'll admit. I have a hard time keeping my own closet organized, and Andy's just ends up a pile of stuff. I think these Peek-a-Boo Closet Dividers, available in pink and blue, would be a great help in the organization. They make it easy to separate all the clothes you receive as you collect them. I know that I ended up with all sizes of clothes before Andy was born, and this would have been a bit help in organizing it.

Trousselier Globe Lantern Earth
Here's an interesting nursery light! The Globe Lantern Earth from Trousselier Paris is a spinning globe that shines a soft light in the room. It has an Earth pattern, comes with a 40 watt light bulb, and the heat of the bulb spins the insert and shines the pattern onto the glass of the globe. We think it's beautiful! It has an on/off switch, and there is a UK compatible version for those of you over there. Also available are the Globe Lantern Clouds and the Globe Lantern Space.

Skip Hop Diaper Toolbox - Make a Diaper Changing Station Anywhere
It occurred to me the other day that it would be really useful to have a diaper changing station downstairs instead of having to trudge all the way up stairs for each change. This Diaper Toolbox by Skip Hop would be an ideal solution. The caddy holds a dozen diapers, and the side pockets and drawers hold ointments, creams and other necessities that you keep close at hand. The handle makes it easy to carry around with you, wherever you need to change a diaper. The only thing I'm not sure about: where do you keep the wipes?

WallCandy Chalkboard Tree
Andy now loves to write on everything and anything he sees. I've started hiding the crayons and pens, only taking them out when it's official "coloring time." I think chalk is a much better alternative because it won't damage your walls and furniture the same way if your child starts wandering with writing utensils. The WallCandy Chalkboard Tree is a graphic tree that has birds you can move around. Your child can draw on the chalkboard again and again. Chalk is even included!

Twilight Lady Bug
We love the Twilight Turtle in Anderson's room. It casts a nice soothing light and an interesting star pattern on the walls and ceiling. If you'd rather have something a little different, Cloud B has come out with a new Twilight Lady Bug. Like the Turtle, it casts a star pattern on the walls and ceiling and its shell illuminates. It is powered by 3 AAA batteries (included), and after 45 minutes (when your child will hopefully be fast asleep) it shuts itself off saving its battery power.
Wisest Owls Mobile
I love the Wisest Owl Mobile over at Modernseed. It features four differently colored owls, and seems small and light enough to move around in the slightest breezes. Just make sure you mount it out of the reach of your infant. And at $35, it would make a great and stylish addition to any nursery, and if you use the code FILLY10
at check out you'll save 10% off your entire order.

TerriBear Graffiti Lamp
The TerriBear Graffiti Lamp would be a great gift for a budding artist. The Bear, which is made from a non-toxic and odorless plastic, comes with a washable marker so that your child can write on and decorate the lamp. Besides purple, it's also available in blue, green, orange, white, and yellow.

Blossom Flower Fabric Box by Haba
I still haven't found the perfect toy storage containers yet. I do really like the Blossom Flower Fabric Box by Haba and would strongly consider it if I had a girl. The middle section is removable via velcro and reveals a zippered base perfect for storing small items. The top part also has a lid that can hide small trinkets too. I love the patterned flowers that decorate the outside, many of which are also 3D. There's a mirror on one side too. If you like this, you may also like the Blossom Sit and Play Stool which has storage as well as a game included.

Blue Bird Print
Looking for some artwork for your nursery? Well, this illustration by Jonty Bloom would look great just about anywhere. There's a whole series of them. These prints bring a simple and clean look to any modern nursery or child's room. Each is signed, numbered and produced on acid-free archival paper. The prints are unframed and 11" x 14".

Dogs Stretched Print
I've mentioned once or twice Andy's obsession with dogs. I'm sure there are plenty of other children out there who are the same way. If you want to give the nursery a dog theme, you may like the Dogs Stretched Print by avalisa. It is available in six colors and three sizes, so it should work for every nursery. I love the contrast colors and how bright they are.

Meadow Rug by Haba
I am not sure if Haba has ever made a product that I haven't liked. I just found the Meadow Rug, and I am in love with it. Each end has beautiful and colorful flowers, and one side also has a butterfly flying around. I think it'd probably work better for a girl than a boy, but I still want it in Andy's nursery! It is made of wool and has a cloth backing. It's also available for free shipping!
