Camp in your living room with a play tent

Every kid needs a play tent — a place to play by themselves and no grown ups allowed! Well, this play tent by Lucy and Michael is a great example. When set up, it stands approximately 3 ½" high — plenty high for your preschooler. And it folds up and sets up in seconds. There's even a window built into to the back of the tent so kids can keep a look out (probably for those pesky cowboys). The item is heavy, but luckily every tent is shipped free so you don't have to pay extra shipping costs.

AirCrib
The AirCrib is a great way to keep your infant contained whether your travelling, heading to the beach, or out in the woods camping. This crib can be set up in less than a minute, and fits infants up to 28 pounds. You could use this as a play pen, a crib, or both! It comes with a fitted sheet, hand pump, mattress and a carrying sack.

Ladybug Play Mat by Latitude Enfant
Andy's always been a big fan of ladybugs, so I'm a fan of the Ladybug Play Mat by Latitude Enfant. The head of the ladybug is cushioned, and there is six feet of velvety mat after that. There are six different activities including a squeaking flower, teething rattle, and flower mirror with velvet petals. It also is machine washable and comes in a case with a fabric handle.

Sit Me Up Cozy
The Sit Me Up Cozy
reminds me a lot of Harold the Hound. Two inflatable half-rings with a soft plush surface connect (via Velcro) to a super-soft playmat. You can prop up your infant or lay her down. And when she gets fussy, there are four removable toys: a cow bell rattle, chicken squeaker, lamb rattle and mirror flower.

Rainforest Fabric Pat Mat
Unlike your traditional play gym, the Rainforest Fabric Pat Mat is a stimulating activity mat designed to be used exclusively for strength-building tummy time. You could stash this mat in your diaper bag (or in the included carrying bag) and pull it out at the park or beach. It includes a prop pillow and a removable water mat (for babies 6 months and up). The mat is 36"x36".

Tummy Time Farmyard Play Mat
One of my problems with play mats is that they are boring for tummy time. So of course we think the Tummy Time Farmyard Play Mat is perfect. For babies that don't like tummy time, they have something to distract them. The animals crinkle and rattle, can be pulled, and there is a mirror. This mat is also bigger than many others, and the wedge can be removed from the mat. It's machine washable too!

Baby Bear Mat
I think this Baby Bear Mat is great. I definitely have a love of all things teddy bear, and it looks so cozy. It can be used as a playmat when your baby is young, then as a soft spot to curl up with a book or watch tv when your child gets a little older. It is machine washable and has a non-skid back. There's also a heart appliqué that squeaks. It's also available in blue.

Playtime To Go Traveling Activity Playmat
After giving birth, I had a hard time leaving the house with Andy. It was just too stressful for me to bring him along somewhere. I now realize that was crazy, and he was much easier when he was a newborn than as a toddler. If you are a little more relaxed and take your baby around with you, the Playtime To Go Traveling Activity Playmat is for you. It folds easily so you can bring it wherever you are going without hassle. The mat is chenille plaid, there's an arch from which you can hang toys, it comes with a couple of stuffed bunnies that can hang from the arch, and it folds and washes easily.

Lily Pad Lagoon Play Mat
Here's a play gym that looks like a ton of fun for your baby. The Lily Pad Lagoon Play Mat is a large round mat with bright colors and textures with monkeys, lions and other animals hanging from above from the see-through canopy. There's also a frog mirror that lights up and has music and jungle sounds that can be placed on the ground or attached above and a large fabric caterpillar that can be used as a bolster. All the detachable toys along with the mat and canopy fold up and fit into a vinyl carry bag too, so you can put it away easily when you aren't using it.

3D Playground
I love products that babies can use as they grow. The 3D Playground will do just that. For babies 3-6 months old, it can be used as a playmat. For babies 6-12 months old, it can be a crawling course. And then for babies 12 months old and up, they can use it as a 3D activity gym. It has a detachable rattle, removable hanging star and moon, and a removable port-hole cushion. It also won the Best Vacation Children's Product award from Dr. Toy.

Wiggle Worm Travel Gym
The Wiggle Worm Travel Gym at Baby Wise first stood out to me because it looks really cute. But when I found out it was padded, I really wished I had had this when Andy was really small. We had hard wood floors in our apartment as well as in our new home, and so many mats are just not padded enough to be comfortable to a baby. The arch is removable and can be attached to a crib, and there's a zip up carrying case as well.
