Asthma Friendly Plush Puppies

Every baby deserves a stuffed animal to hold. But for some, stuffed toys are hazardous. Dust mites and allergens can cause dangerous allergic reactions and asthma attacks. This stuffed toy is sturdy enough to hold up to frequent washings and you can even freeze it to decrease the allergens. Now cuddling with a stuffed toy is safe for all little ones.

Zoo Care Rhino from Koko

Looking to add some character to your child's bed? I adore the Zoo Care Rhino. This cute animal is made of wool felt, is colorful and a lot of fun. He can become a companion and toy for your child as she grows and is a great addition to any stuffed animal collection.

Animal Attraction Baby Toys

The Animal Attraction Baby Toys are cute stuffed animals that have magnets inside so they can be pulled apart and stuck back together. I think that would be a fun activity for your little one that he won't get with any other stuffed animal. There's also crunchy fabric and many other different textures. This is a set of three animals, so they can also be mixed and matched too!

Pull Along Pinto

We love the vintage feel of the Pull Along Pinto toy. The pony sits on a sturdy platform and has a pull cord. The stuffed animal can also be easily removed, so your child can take him anywhere, even to bed!

Lavender Lab by Cloud b

The Lavender Lab by Cloud b is a plush dog that has aromatherapy packets inside of it which are filled with lavender. There are lots of sleep benefits associated with lavender, so it may be a good idea for your child if you are having sleeping issues with him. Each packet lasts up to five years, and you can release additional scent by squeezing the dog's head, back, or bottom. You can also use it too, placing it on your pillow when your child isn't sleeping.

Baby's Best Friend Teddy

I've mentioned a few times that I wanted to decorate Andy's nursery with teddy bears but ultimately failed (which is one of the reasons I started Super Cool Baby, so I would be better at knowing what is out there!). Baby's Best Friend Teddy, available in both pink and blue, would have been perfect for me! It is a wicker basket that is stuff with tons of products featuring teddy bears, including a teddy bear memory book, a teddy bear brag book, a cardigan, onesie, appliqued pant, teddy bear hat and bib, scratch mitts, and an actual teddy bear. I think this would be a great gift for anyone expecting a baby!

Mother Goose 7 Piece Set

If you're thinking up a theme for your nursery, a Mother Goose theme is a great idea. We think it's really cute, and it'd be easy to find lots of items for it in a bunch of different stores Mother Goose doesn't go out of style! We like the "Mother Goose" 7 Piece Gift Set
, which would be a great place to start your theme. The set includes a large Mother Goose stuffed animal that has a zipper compartment where three other plush nursery rhyme characters are kept, along with a soft book for each. This is a set that your baby will use for a long time.

Spooky Daddy: Unique Handmade Plush Toys

Laura wrote about Spooky Daddy Toy Co. the other day, but I like their stuff so much I had to get my own word in. They make some awesome plush monsters and animals. Each one is made lovingly by-hand by one (fiendishly clever) father. He makes them all on his sewing machine, taking care to make each one completely baby safe. The monsters all have great stories behind them too. Take Mr. Tum Tum here:
Mr. Tum Tum is the man who lives in you belly. He decides what becomes vitamins for your body, and what becomes poop! Everyone has their own and each one looks different. depending on your diet and personality. But as different as they all may be all TumTums have one thing in common. They all have alotta poop on their minds! All of this poop thinkin has even caused a growth on top of their heads called a Poopador.
Each monster is totally unique — they're each made without a pattern from soft fleece with nothing glued on. There's lots to see at the Spooky Daddy Etsy Shop, and at the Spooky Daddy website as well.

Spooky Daddy Toy Co.
Spooky Daddy Toy Co. sells plush monsters and animals that are adorable. Each one is made by hand by the founder, and each is unique. We think these are a great way to teach your child that the monsters in the closet are nice and friendly creatures. My favorite is the Roaming Eyeball of Doom with Baby Skull Bunny a close second. There are a bunch of others, each one quite unique. Definitely check out this store!

They have multi-textured paws and feet that are filled with a stay-soft gel. After you stick it in the freezer, the teether will offer some great cooling relief for your baby's tender gums.

Cream Lamb Sleepy Cuddler
If you're looking for a cuddly blanket for your baby this winter, I think the Cream Lamb Sleepy Cuddler is a great pick. This blanket is in the shape of a lamb, is super soft, and it's also life-size at 22x22 inches. It's also machine washable, which is essential for this type of product!

Gibson, the plush doggie by Gund
We're starting to have a bit of a problem at Super Cool Baby Headquarters. Andy has a stuffed animal that he loves. It looks just like this adorable plush puppy made by Gund, except it's all blue. Anderson loves playing with the tail for some reason, and he will only suck his thumb when he's holding this dog. The problem? Well, we only have one, and he's beginning to leave it in hard-to-find places (in the master bathroom vanity, or in our hamper). I don't even want to consider the prospect of putting him to bed without his favorite animal. So, please learn from our mistake: either mix it up occasionally, or buy more than one!

Time's Up/Time Out
I think this is such a great idea for a toddler. The Time's Up/Time Out Bear has a standard timer on its belly, so your little one can see it unwind and help understand time management. Just turn the timer and tell your child that it's time to go to bed when it stops (or whatever you need timed). Another suggested use is for time outs. We haven't gotten to that point yet, but I can certainly see how it'd be a good idea for that too. And the bear is quite cute too!

Slumber Bear with Silkie
The Slumber Bear with Silkie
is a great idea. It was created by a doctor, and has been used by hospitals and pediatricians for over 25 years. The bear itself is a plush, 10-inch stuffed animal. But the ingenious part of it is the sound box in the stomach. It is loaded with actual womb recordings and has a quick five minute shut off. Five minutes?
you're probably asking yourself right now, but its also got a motion sensor that starts the recording all over again if it detects your baby stirring. So, no more creeping into the nursery to turn on a CD player! Finally, Mom should keep the Silkie blankie around her during the day. The blanket will pick up her scent and lend a extra comfort to your baby at night. Definitely a great gift for any new parents!
