We're headed to the beach this week. So this Eco-Friendly Sand Play Set would be a great toy to bring along. This sand play set is made entirely out of recycled materials and includes everything you need to make a spectacular sand castle. It includes a green bucket with a sturdy rope handle, an orange rake and shovel, and a crenelated sandcastle mold.

I think the I Am the Boss Dinosaur is so much fun because it's both a baby seat and a ball pit. This dino has crinkly spikes, textured scales, and a rattle tail, and then inside is 60 colorful balls. Your baby will have a blast playing with this dinosaur and all the balls. You can zip the dino up when your baby isn't sitting in it, and there's even peek-a-boo holes for extracting balls from his belly. The best part is that it's machine washable!

We've just discovered the soft blocks made by Zid Zid Kids, and we love them. They are stylish, in more interesting colors than your basic red, blue, and green, and are sure to be a hit with your baby. The blocks foster independent play and creativity. Each set comes with its own storage back, and each block is hand stitched and embroidered. There are three sets: Forest Hideaway, Little Zookeeper, and World Landmark.

We love the Irma Niekum dolls that Craftsbury Kids has recently started selling. Each one is entirely handmade and made from wool felt and embroidery thread. The designer makes each one herself. They have a removable pin and scarf and is about 16 inches high. It's adorable too, a perfect doll for your child to become attached to!

Is there a company better than Haba? They keep releasing more and more adorable toys for all ages. The Flowery Ring Rattle has petals that are great for chewing or touching. Some crinkle while others are filled with small pellets that are fun to move around. The petals are removable in case you need to wash them. The wooden center has a smiling face on one side and a sleeping one on the other. This rattle is great for early motor and gross motor skills and helps encourage independent play.

This Ski Jump by Haba
is for older kids, because of the marbles, but it seems like such a fun toy that I'd enjoy playing with it myself. First, you get to build the ramp, and then send marbles barreling down the track to take a jump off the end! What kid, or adult, wouldn't get a kick out of that. This ski jump is also about the [Haba Ball Track construction set](http://scripts.affiliatefuture.com/AFClick.asp?affiliateID=67217&merchantID=1551&programmeID=4253&mediaID=0&tracking=HA1098&url=http://www.oompa.com/baby-toys/item/HA1136/Haba-Ball-Track-Construction-Set---FREE-SHIPPING.html?oompaItem=Haba_Ball%20Track%20Construction%20Set%20-%20FREE%20SHIPPING).

Here's a neat toy for babies, ages 4 to 6 months. The Fisher-Price Rainforest Nest 'n Play Animals is 3 nesting boxes each with a different animal, and a squeaking monkey that fits inside. Play "take and put" games with your infant. The largest box is a blue elephant with crinkle ears and tactile butterfly and flower. The medium-sized boxed is a lion with a soft mane. The smallest box is a zebra with a jingle.

I've always been a fan of 3D puzzles, and there are a bunch at Wild Dill that are really cute. The Number Snail Puzzle is great because it can teach numbers and colors as the toddler learns to put it together. Some others I like include the T-Rex Puzzle and the Penguin Puzzle. Each puzzle is made of plantation grown, chemical free rubber wood and child safe paints. They are also fairly made in Asia.

You can use this Mobilo Arranging Game by Haba to teach your child about puzzles at an early age. It has 30 movable tiles, each vibrantly painted with images of trains, cars, helicopters, houses, and bustling city scenes. Your child will love arranging the blocks every which way to create stories and amusing pictures. The board itself is magnetized, and the game comes with magnetic strips that can be applied to the blocks. This will help keep things in place.
